Welile Hospitality Services formerly known as Welile Caterers & Florists cc started on a full time basis in 1997; prior to that it was run on a part time basis as a small business catering for small occasions like birthdays, weddings, and funerals. It was later incorporated as a close corporation in 2000. It is located in the heart of Durban in Woodford, Stamfordhill.

Welile Hospitality Services’ core business is that of catering, décor & floral arrangements, events management and more recently accommodation by way of its guest house in Pietermaritzburg. It offers these services to a wide range of clients in and around KwaZulu Natal. These are mostly government departments, corporate companies, and individuals.

Welile Hospitality Services currently has a staff complement of over 150 full time staff and in excess of 90 experienced part time staff who come on board during the busy periods. It has also invested heavily in its infrastructure and equipment to better serve its clients’ needs and wants.

This has greatly propelled Welile Hospitality Services to the head of the pack in the hospitality industry in KZN enabling it to handle large catering contracts such as that at UKZN and at the Premiers office. At UKZN, Welile Hospitality Services had been providing catering services, for the resident students, as well as the university functions for a period of five years.

Welile Hospitality Services is well reputed for maintaining the highest quality and hygiene standards as well as its excellent customer rapport. To this end, the company is associated with several professional organisations including the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and the Southern African Association for the Conference Industry (SAACI).
