Welile Hospitality Services proudly boasts a broad base of highly skilled and professional staff, with in excess of 75 years of collective experience.
Bawelile Mngoma (known as Welile)
The business is managed by its founding member, Welile, and her husband Press. She handles all the day to day operations and all the new work that comes in. Having been with the company from the beginning she is truly conversant with all the inner workings of the business
Welile studied Home Economics at the University of Zululand while catering part time for university functions. She has also undertaken a course on advanced floral arrangements and business management.
In addition Welile has in excess of over 25 years experience in the food and beverage industry and is a well respected business owner in KwaZulu Natal. This is evident in the large number of corporate and government contracts which Welile Caterers & Florists (now Welile Hospitality Service) have handled over the 17 years of its existence.
One of her most valuable assets is her understanding of her clients as well as their needs and then her ability to meet these requirements.
Press Mngoma
Press Mngoma is a qualified attorney and had previously worked for SARS where he gained over seven years of management experience. He is currently overseeing new business origination, handling the company’s accounts and compliances, human resource and IT functions
Simon Peacock
Simon Peacock is a chef and business strategist and is the Operations & Finance Manager. He currently manages the day-to-day operations as well as specific functions whilst also handling supplier and customer relations
Individual Functions are planned and completed according to the client’s needs and his role is to manage those needs and demands. Event Management also falls under his auspices.
He has great experience in the industry having managed his own business and worked as operations advisor for a National Food Franchise operation amongst other operations.
Futhi Mazibuko
Futhi is the Executive Chef at the company. She is in charge of the entire kitchen division, overseeing the preparation of all foods and beverages. She is also responsible for the determination of new dishes as well as keeping up-to-date with current trends in the food industry.
Prior to joining Welile Hospitality, Futhi worked as a chef at Zimbali lodge for 8 years. In this environment her commitment to learning has brought the company a huge range of abilities & insight.
Sindi Hlophe
As head of Human Resources & Staffing, Sindi’s role is vital in ensuring the right staff are used at the correct function as well as ensuring the admin side of these functions is completed. Her role extends into the full administrative side of the company.
In addition to the above onerous tasks, Sindi also involves herself with the logistics of the functions the company handles including equipment, hiring and specific extra staffing if necessary (Drivers etc).
