Our Events
Having been in existence for the past 17 or so years, Welile Hospitality Services has established good relations with the Local, Provincial and National Governments as well as the corporate sector for which its has done a number of big functions. These functions have been government functions, gala dinners, sports events, cultural events and private functions. Some example are laid out below.
Government Functions:
- Official Opening of the KZN Legislature (1500 guests each for 2014, 2012 & 2011)
- State of the Province Address (500 VIP guests in 2014, 2012 & 2011)
- State of the City (Msunduzi) (500 guests in 2014)
- Workers Parliament held in KwaDukuza, Bergville (500 guests over2 days in 2014
Gala Dinners
- 40th Jubilee of King Goodwill Zwelithini (1200 guests at Greyville Racecourse).
- Awards evenings for University of KZN and Mangosuthu University of Technology.
Sports Events
- Lamontville Golden Arrows (various events over the years)
- Nedbank Cup Events (various events at different venues over the years)
Cultural Events
- Opening of School Hall in Enqabeni (nr Harding) in 2014
- Opening of Sports Facilities at KwaMashu School (200 VIP guests) in 2014
Private Functions
- 250 VIP Guests at Durban Music Concert in 2014
- 300 VIP Guests for an Unveiling of Family Tombstones in 2014
- 1000 Guests for Celebration of a new Church Hall in Melmoth in 2014
- 200 Lunch plus 200 Dinner guests for uMemulo (Traditional 21st – Lunch –
& Western 21st – Dinner) in Esikhaweni nr Richards Bay in late 2013.
Welile Hospitality Services has catered for many tradition Zulu functions and are well prepared to provide traditional dishes such as Usu, Inhloko and Ujeqe (Steamed Bread).
Welile Hospitality Services has been involved in the prestigious NBS/ East Coast Radio Home & Garden show, at the Durban Exhibition Centre (DEC), for the past two consecutive years wherein they operated and outstanding outlet. As a result Welile Caterers was recognized by the International Convention Centre ( ICC) and are now one of their preferred caterers at the Durban Exhibition Centre (DEC)
